A wide, panoramic view of a traditional rural showfield bordered by dry-stone walls and rolling green Northumbrian hills, with neat white rope barriers marking out a central grass arena. Brightly colored canvas trade marquees, tidy livestock pens, and a small line of vintage tractors are arranged in orderly rows across the field, all without any people present. Soft late-morning sunlight filters through light clouds, giving a gentle, even illumination and subtle shadows beneath the structures. Photographic realism at eye level with a slightly elevated angle, sharp focus throughout to convey an organised, welcoming county show atmosphere, calm and professional, with natural, vibrant greens and clean signage adding a sense of clarity and order.

Livestock Entry

Entry fees for competitive classes start from just a few pounds per class, with family concessions available for multiple entries. Livestock, equine, horticultural, and handicraft sections are each clearly banded so you only pay for the classes you join. Trade stand pitches are priced by frontage and location within the show field, with preferential rates for local Powburn and Northumberland businesses, charities, and community groups. Electricity, extra space for vehicles, and late-booking surcharges are itemised separately, helping exhibitors plan their budgets in advance.

Trade Stand

Our pricing is kept straightforward and affordable to encourage wide participation. Standard competition entries are charged per class, with reduced rates for juniors and Young Farmers. Trade and craft stallholders can choose from small, medium, or large pitches, with options for corner plots or prime ring-side locations at a higher tariff. Additional charges apply only where needed—for example, for power hook-ups, marquees supplied by the show, or specialist livestock penning—so you can tailor your booking to suit your needs and keep costs under control.
